That's right. Why? Because I'm hardly ever using it since I started becoming a boring, hard-working elite student. No time for creativity anymore. But hey, I'm the best student of the whole University, with no less than 1.0 in every exam (pretty unreal... but it doesn't really cheer me up though). My parents are happy, I think, because I did the right thing and didn't waste my capability.
What's more, I don't have any friends here who'd model for me in a fruitful kind of way (probably because they're all uncreative elite students too). They're only like "Hey, take a nice application photo for me please, I don't wanna pay a studio photographer" and like "I've changed my mind, I need professional looking photos after all". And not like "Hey, let's go to the abandoned fields today and take some photos of how I'm swinging an iron chain". I'm missing it. Seems like the summer is over.
Do you have any suggestions where I could sell it better than on ebay? And how much could I possibly get for it? It's a hardly-ever-used Canon EOS 5D. Buying price was something around 3'500 € and the warranty is still valid.
After all, it's just a thing without a soul. I think.
... and no, I'm not leaving dA. I still have my cheaper old camera, so I can still take photos. And don't ask me not to sell it please, I've made my decision.

Surely it's only a thing without a soul. The one who gives it a soul are you and your creativity.
And just because you aren't happy with the way the things are right now I wouldn't give away that one thing that might be able to give you back what you are looking for.
Your success at the university seems at one hand to be important to you but on the other hand it doesn't satisfy you. So hold on to the things that really satisfy you even if they seem to be not to be within the grip of your hand right now.
Don't sell your camera unless you need the money for something that's much more important to you than photography.
Because money has even less has a soul than a cam and I will not make you happy after all.
And no, no and no. A camera in a mobile phone does not count.

...hätte ich mal eben 3500 piepen übrig, würd ich sie dir sogar abnehmen. aber auch ich bin nur eine arme, arme studentin, zu allem überfluss auch noch mit studiengebühren geknechtet U__U deshalb kann ich dir nur viel glück wünschen - und leise hoffen, dass du es dir anders überlegst, und die kamera behältst.
